Founder and CEO of Womple LLC, Murray Montgomery, Jr., CCP holds a passion for protecting people from identity theft. His commitment to service and education began much early than his career though. Murray’s parents were dedicated to caring for their community. Womple was his father’s middle name, and Murray’s identity theft protection company is named in honor of his parents.

Murray graduated from South Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education and became certified in Security Management by the American Society for Industrial Security as a Certified Protection Professional (CCP).

Over 18 years of experience as a law enforcement professional have cultivated his passion for empowering US citizens with education to protect themselves.

Over the life of his career, Murray has served as Special Deputy, U.S. Marshal to the FBI, Joint Terrorism Task Force; Tactical Intelligence Officer for the Department of Homeland Security and Police Officer/Investigator for the Department of Treasury, Bureau of Engraving and Printing; and Director of Event Security and Logistics for Black Entertainment Television (BET).

Locally, he served as a Special Agent in the Office of Counter-terrorism, Protective Services and Emergency Unit for the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED); conducted Department of Homeland Security (DHS) threat and vulnerability assessments of critical infrastructure and key assets sites throughout the state of South Carolina; planned and directed protective security management services for the 2007 SC Democratic and Republican presidential debates and the 2008 Democratic National Convention.
